Priene Ancient City, Priene lies in Güllübahçe at a distance of 15 kilometers (9 miles) from Söke town nearby Kusadasi, in the Aegean region of Turkey. The city was founded in the 2nd millennium BC in an unknown location nearby and then carried to its present location on the clifs around 350 BC. The visit of the archeological site requires some steep walking up after the car park, following a footpath and some steps through the Hellenistic city walls. Didyma Ancient City, Didyma (nearby Didim, in the Aegean region of Turkey) was a cult center for the city of Miletus. It is located in the present day village of Yeniköy, about 15 kilometers (10 miles) from the site of Miletus. In ancient times, these two cities were connected to each other by a sacred road that had statues located on either side of it. Medusa friezes of DidymaThe Didymaion, the temple of Apollo and its oracle at Didyma, had a considerable reputation in the ancient times. The city was on the borders of Caria, Lycia and Phrygia and had a mixed population. Citizens were usually involved in the wool industry. Calcium Terraces, The terraces were formed by running warm spring water, at a temperature of 35 °C / 102 °F containing calcium bicarbonate. When the water loses its carbon dioxide it leaves limestone deposits. Göreme, The names given here in history Korama,Avcılar and still called Maccan by locals.This is the place where you see lots of rock cut churches with best paintings of the area. Here was used as missionary school beginning from 2 nd centuries till 12 th centuries. Goreme Open Air Museum, Featuring the most impressive of all rock-carved churches in Cappadocia. Pigeon Valley, This is the valley called Pigeon valley because of the Pigeon houses on them.Pigeons had different uses in the history.Hittites used them for communication,to send massages between the villages.. Çatalkaya, May be that s known as the most famous fairy chimneys of Cappadocia.You here stop to see conical ones with caps on top.There are two big one done small here that s why they are called there beauties by locals. Hospital Monastery, It s located almost 1 km far away from Ürgüp town. Here is the first place in the area used as hospital and health center by Christians.
