DAY 01

Istanbul – Izmir

 

Departure to Izmir by flight and Ephesus Tour

 

06:00 Pick up from your hotel and transfer to airport.

08:00 Fly from Istanbul to Izmir.

08:55 Arrive in Izmir. Meet in the airport and transfer to Ephesus. Join in the full day tour of Ephesus.

 

Visit the remains of the Artemis Temple, one of the seven wonders of the ancient world. Afterwards, it proceeds to the spectacular main site of Ephesus, undoubtedly the most superbly preserved Greco-Roman city. Unmistakable highlights surviving among the ruins are the Celsius Library, Agora, Theater, Odeon, Trajan Fountain, Domitianus Temple and Roman Latrines. Following a lunch break, visit the House of Virgin Mary; reputed to be where she spent her final days. After the tour transfer to hotel and stay the night in Selcuk-Ephesus or Kusadasi.

Aphrodisias - Istanbul


09:00 pick up from your hotel drive to Aphrodisias visiting; The ancient city of Aphrodisias is one of the most important archaeological sites of the Greek and Roman periods in Turkey. Aphrodisias lies in the Maeander River basin, in a fertile valley 100 miles southeast of the port of Izmir. Famous for its sanctuary of Aphrodite, the city's patron goddess, Aphrodisias enjoyed a long and prosperous existence from the first century B.C. through the sixth century A.D. Today, many of the city's ancient monuments remain standing, and Excavations have unearthed numerous fine marble statues and other artifacts. The great beauty and extraordinary preservation of this site combine to bring the civic culture of the Graeco-Roman world vividly to life.


17:00 End of the Aphrodisias. Resting Free Time.

19:00 Transfer to Airport

20:00 Fly to Istanbul
